HUNTINGTON BEACH : Photo Show Planned at Library

“A Photographer’s View of Huntington Beach” is the theme of a new exhibit at the Main Street library branch that opens this weekend.

Presented by the Photographic Society of Orange County, the free exhibit will feature local landmarks, buildings, nature scenes, the Bolsa Chica wetlands and more.

In addition to photographs, old cameras and other equipment will be displayed.

An opening-day reception will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the library, 525 Main St. The exhibit will spotlight photographic works through April 22.

The exhibit will be open during library hours--Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and, Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Photographic Society is an outgrowth of a class at Coastline Community College.

Through workshops, field trips and gallery shows, the group hopes to expand the appreciation of photography throughout Orange County.
