EASTSIDE : Leadership Seminar for Latino Students
Local Latino high school students may apply for a weeklong leadership training course offered in July at Cal State Sacramento.
Applications are available at the Highland Park office of Assemblyman Antonio Villaraigosa (D-Los Angeles). The conference is July 22-29.
Participants at the conference, which is in its 14th year, attend free of charge. To be eligible, applicants must be a Chicano or Latino in their sophomore or junior year at a California high school as of September, 1994.
Villaraigosa’s district office is at 110 N. Avenue 56.
