LOS ANGELES : FEMA Phone Line for Disaster Aid Applicants
Effective today, the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s toll-free telephone registration line will operate Mondays through Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Individuals and business owners from the 57 disaster-declared counties who need to apply for disaster assistance because of uninsured flood damage to their homes or property should call (800) 462-9029 or, for the hearing-impaired, (800) 464-7585.
For information on assistance programs or the status of an application, residents should call the toll-free help line, (800) 525-0321, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
