Perkins Joins Firm; Executive Named at AutoPacific Inc.

Kenneth L. Perkins Jr. has joined the Irvine office of Allen, Matkins, Leck, Gamble & Mallory as a partner. He had previously been a litigation partner in the law firm of Katten Muchin Zavis & Weitzman.

* Lynn K. Imus has joined AutoPacific Inc. as senior vice president and chief operating officer of the Santa Ana automotive marketing and product consulting firm. Imus has worked in marketing, sales and management at Ford Motor Co., Chrysler Corp., American Motors Corp. and, for the past 17 years, at R.L. Polk & Co., most recently as president of Polk Direct Group in Taylor, Mich.

* Jack R. Nerad has been named vice president of Hill & Knowlton Inc. in the Irvine office. Nerad oversees all public relations activities for the firm’s automobile marketing team, primarily servicing the Mazda Motor of America account. Before joining Hill & Knowlton, Nerad was director of public relations for Mazda’s luxury car division, Amati, for two years, and was editor of Motor Trend magazine.

* John Julian has been appointed vice president of worldwide pharmaceutical marketing for ICN Pharmaceuticals Inc. in Costa Mesa. He was the vice president of marketing for Marion Merrell Dow Inc. Larry Johnson will serve as vice president of strategic marketing. He was vice president of marketing and commercial development at Erocetus B.V./Chiron, responsible for all international commercial activities based in Amsterdam. Kobi Sethna has been named to the post of vice president and general manager, Asia, Africa and Australia/Pacific. He held the position of vice president at the Lederle International division of American Cyanimid Corp. Garth Cumberlidge is the new vice president of worldwide biomedical marketing. Before joining ICN, Cumberlidge was the international sales and marketing manager for Sigma Chemical Co. ICN said the appointments came as the result of merging its four affiliated companies last year.
