Share

Canon Computer Systems Inc. joined with its Tokyo parent, Canon Inc., and a sister company to sue a Dallas company on allegations that it infringed on Canon’s trademark and patent for the Bubble Jet printer ink cartridges.

The suit, filed in federal court in Los Angeles, alleges that Nu-Kote International Inc. in Dallas copied Canon’s design for both refill cartridges and ink.

Canon Computer, the parent company and Canon U.S.A. Inc. in Lake Success, N.Y., seek an injunction and unspecified lost profits and compensatory damages.
