Streamlining the building and permit process in Los Angeles will be the topic of a public forum tonight.
Patrick Sinclair, executive director of Progress LA, will speak about recent recommendations on making the permit process more user-friendly, and community members can learn how to help change the city’s permit process.
A recent study showed that in some cases, the cost of permits in Los Angeles can be 22 times higher than those in other cities; processing some permit applications takes up to 16 times longer.
The 6:30 p.m. meeting is at the Port of Los Angeles, 425 S. Palos Verdes St..
