Southland : A Look at Women-Owned Business:

Share
From Times Staff Reports

Southern California’s women-owned businesses will be profiled Tuesday when the results of a national survey of such firms are announced. The five-page survey was distributed nationwide earlier this year as a joint project of Dun & Bradstreet Corp. and the National Foundation for Women Business Owners, an arm of the National Assn. of Women Business Owners. The survey is expected to detail the extent of technology in women-owned business, the unusual and wider range of benefits offered in such firms, the expectations for economic and personnel growth in women-owned companies, and a surprising decrease in the number of women seeking outside capital. The last such survey three years ago showed that women business owners employed more people than Fortune 500 companies.
