More information: (714) 562-3754 Los Alamitos City Council meeting When: Today, 7 p.m. Where: City Council Chambers, 3191 Katella Ave. What: The council will consider final adoption of an ordinance to regulate topless bars, massage parlors, adult bookstores, adult movie houses and other adult-related businesses. The council also will consider the settlement plans offered by the county to investors in the failed county pool. Brea Planning Commission meeting When: Tuesday, 7 p.m. Where: Council Chambers, 1 Civic Center Circle What: The commission will resume a public hearing on the Birch Hills residential and commercial project. The developer, Unocal Land & Development, wants to build a 60-acre retail center and 363 large single-family homes on a site formerly occupied by the Collier Chemical Plant. Unocal also wants to develop a gated community of 112 affordably priced single-family homes on a 15-acre site at Imperial Highway and Placentia Avenue. More information: (714) 990-7755. Irvine City Council meeting When: Tuesday, 4:30 p.m. Where: Council Chambers, 1 Civic Center Plaza What: The council will review a report on the role of top city officials in connection with the Orange County investment pool. Council members said the report concludes that no city officials broke any laws or violated city policies. The report is available for public review.
