SIMI VALLEY : Architect Named to Design Police Station
Moving ahead with plans to build a new police station, the Simi Valley City Council on Monday selected an architect to design the $11-million headquarters.
The council selected Leach Mounce Architects, recommended by a city panel from a pool of 14 applicants competing for the job.
Leach Mounce, which has offices in Ventura and Glendale, designed the East County Sheriff’s Station on Olsen Road and the Oxnard Transit Center.
The new police headquarters will be built at the corner of Tapo Canyon Road and Alamo Street in front of City Hall.
