Piece of Six Flags May Be Sold: Sources said Time Warner Inc. is considering shopping a portion of its theme park operations to investment groups as part of a larger restructuring of the entertainment giant and also to raise money to help pay down its debt. Rumors have recently circulated that the company might even sell its entire theme parks operation, but people close to Time Warner dismissed that scenario and said the company plans to keep a controlling interest of the business. Investment firms Blackstone Group and Wertheim Schroder & Co. were investors with Time Warner in Six Flags in the early 1990s. Daily Variety estimated this week that such a deal could be worth about $600 million for Time Warner if the company sold as much as a 50% interest. The company declined to comment.
