BRIEFLY : Charity: Annual Boomtown Party Set for May 7

A local charity has donated more than $600,000 to various nonprofit agencies that work with abused children, mentally retarded youngsters or babies with AIDS.

SHARE, a Westside based entertainment industry charitable organization, raised the money through an annual fund-raising event called the Boomtown party.

The agency, founded 42 years ago, will hold its 1995 Boomtown party May 7, featuring a tribute to Bob Hope.

Tickets are $50 per person.
