THOUSAND OAKS : Traffic Light Project to Be Considered
A traffic signal could be installed at the busy intersection of Rockfield Street and Lindero Canyon Road under a proposal before the Ventura County Board of Supervisors.
Three of the four legs of the intersection lie within Thousand Oaks; the fourth road is in Oak Park, which Ventura County governs. Under terms of a joint-use agreement signed last year, the city has agreed to pay 75% of the $117,000 wiring and engineering bill. The county would pick up the rest of the tab.
TDS Engineering submitted the lowest responsible bid and is expected to get the contract when supervisors consider the issue during their regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday.
