Mireille Durocher and a companion were killed March 28 in Port-au-Prince when gunmen sprayed their car with bullets. Durocher was the most prominent proponent and adviser of the military leaders who toppled President Jean-Bertrand Aristide in September, 1991. U.N. spokesman Eric Falt said Haitian police arrested Claudy Lacroix at his home Thursday. Falt was unable to provide any information about Lacroix or possible charges against him.
