Bankruptcy Fallout Seminar: Today, the Orange County chapters of the Building Owners and Managers Assn. and the Institute of Real Estate Management will hold two seminars, one on retaining tenants and the other on the effects of Orange County’s fiscal crisis on the the real estate community. Longtime developer George Argyros will discuss the bankruptcy fallout and the pros and the cons of the initiative to make the El Toro Marine Corps Air Station into a commercial airport. The seminars start at 8 a.m. in the Westin South Coast Plaza hotel in Costa Mesa.
Also today, the Irvine Apartment Communities Inc., the publicly traded arm of the Irvine Co., will hold its annual shareholders meeting in Irvine.
