USAir Group Inc. reported a loss of $96.9 million, or $1.91 a share, compared to a loss of $196.7 million, or $3.64 a share, in the 1994 quarter. Sales rose nearly 5% to $1.76 billion from $1.69 billion. Analysts had expected a loss of $2.06 a share, according to a survey of estimates by First Call.
