PASADENA : JPL Plans Earth Day Open House Saturday

NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, which is known widely for its space probes, will celebrate Earth Day with an open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Nearly a fourth of JPL’s work is for NASA’s Mission to Planet Earth, which uses space radar and other instruments to study the Earth. Scientists on several Earth missions will discuss their projects on climate changes, volcanoes and earthquakes.
