The Times also named Victor A. (Chip) Perry III to the new position of vice president of strategic alliances. Perry will be responsible for developing new electronic products and business opportunities in partnership with other information and technology companies.

Brisco, who will continue to oversee the paper’s strategic planning and advertising marketing, will also assume responsibility for new media, such as the TimesLink on-line service, and marketing services, which develop marketing programs for advertisers.
