The ‘King’ Reigns

“The Lion King” soundtrack continues to make a strong showing both on The Times’ Southern California pop album chart (No. 2) and nationally--No. 1. Partly, it’s due to the success of the home video, which has introduced the movie to an even wider audience. The “Friday” soundtrack debuted impressively, at No. 1, on the Southern California chart, thanks to a boost from Dr. Dre’s hit single, “Keep Their Heads Ringin’.”
