Tribute to De Brier Scheduled in Venice

“Salon for Samson,” a tribute to legendary raconteur and aesthete Samson De Brier, who died April 1 at the age of 86, will be held Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Beyond Baroque, 681 Venice Blvd., Venice.
The tribute will be hosted by De Brier’s sister, Yvonne Modica, and nephew, Tony Modica, and will include screenings of Nazimova’s “Salome” (1923), in which De Brier appeared, and Kenneth Anger’s “Inaugurations of the Pleasure Dome” (1954), which featured De Brier and was shot in his Hollywood bungalow, site of De Brier’s long-running salon.
