Amplicon Inc.: The Santa Ana high-technology equipment leasing company reported earnings of $2.9 million, or 50 cents a share, for its fiscal third quarter, ended March 31, a 3% drop from $3 million, or 51 cents a share, for the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter increased 9% to $53.5 million from $49.1 million. Profit for the nine-month period was up 5% to $8.5 million, or $1.44 a share, from $8.1 million, or $1.38 a share, for the first three quarters last year. Revenue rose 3% to $149.9 million from $145.2 million.
