Charities Need Aid

I am writing in response to the article “Yet Another Worry for County Charities” (April 23), to stress the importance of supporting our local nonprofit organizations.

These organizations, essential to the well-being of Orange County, have been neglected by scared residents and businesses who have clutched their wallets since the recent county bankruptcy. This is the time when we can make the greatest positive impact.

It’s halftime and we are down by 10 points. Chances are we won’t win, but shouldn’t we at least put out equal effort and keep both the team and fans in high spirits? How can the team continue without the support of its fans and the equipment necessary to play? I have faith that Orange County residents will unite in supporting charities.
