Remote Imaging Reports Tripling of Earnings

Share

International Remote Imaging Systems Inc., a Chatsworth maker of urinalysis workstations, said its earnings more than tripled in the first quarter that ended March 31 to $309,975, up from a $94,819 profit in the first quarter a year previously. Revenues for the quarter were $2.83 million, up 45% from $1.95 million in the same period a year ago.

The company attributed the gain in sales and earnings to increased demand for medical products, in contrast to the first quarter of last year, when hospitals were making fewer equipment purchases.
