National Education Corp.: The Irvine company said Tuesday that it has signed two additional letters of intent with buyers for some of its Education Centers, which offer post-secondary career training. One of the letters was for the purchase of 12 schools by Corinthian Schools Inc., whose principals include individuals currently or recently employed by the Education Centers. The other was for the purchase of four schools by Remington University, a private nonprofit educational organization based in Oklahoma. National Education said last June that it planned to discontinue operations of its National Education Centers subsidiary.
