GLENDALE : Police to Host Awards Ceremony
The Glendale Police Department will honor officers, employees and local residents who have distinguished themselves in law enforcement-related activities during the department’s annual awards ceremony Thursday.
The department’s officer of the year, reserve officer of the year and civilian employee of the year will be named. Commendations will be presented to a handful of officers who have gone “beyond the call of duty,” and to several people from the community who have taken action to stop crimes, Officer Linda Reynolds, an organizer of the event, said.
The ceremony will be at 7 p.m. at Glendale City Hall. It will also be broadcast live over Sammons Communications’ Channel 21, officials said.
