PACOIMA — A 23-year-old man was killed and a teen-age boy was wounded early Saturday in what appeared to be a gang-related shooting, police said.
Police were called to Fellows Avenue and Eustace Street about 2:30 a.m. and found 23-year-old Jose Gonzalez Diaz of Pacoima dead at the scene, said Sgt. Al Yarbrough of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill Division.
The wounded juvenile, whose name and age were not released, was taken to Holy Cross Medical Center and is expected to recover, authorities said.
Yarbrough said the victims were standing on the corner drinking when they were approached by a group of men, one of whom fired several rounds at the pair.
There were no arrests, Yarbrough said.
