Chrysler to Fix Cherokees, Dodge Rams: The auto maker says it will repair driver-side air bags on some 1995 Jeep Cherokees and hood latches on 175,000 Dodge Ram pickups. The air bag needs to be inspected on about 70,000 Cherokees built between June, 1994, and early February, Chrysler Corp. said. Some may have been assembled without an arming lever, and the bag will not deploy without it. There have been no reports of problems. Owners of the Ram pickups are being told to have the secondary hood-latch bracket replaced because it may not fasten properly.
