Source Scientific Inc.: The Garden Grove manufacturer of analytical and diagnostic instrument products posted a net loss of $279,000, or 3 cents a share, for the third quarter ended March 31. That compares with a net loss of $617,000, or 8 cents a share, for the corresponding quarter last year. Sales were down 45% to $1.1 million from $2 million. The net loss for the nine-month period totaled $407,000, or 4 cents a share, compared with a year-earlier net loss of $956,000, or 20 cents a share. Sales rose 57% to $3.6 million from $2.3 million.
