Pacific Sunwear of California Inc.: The Anaheim apparel company on Thursday joined the chorus of retailers with disappointing sales figures in recent months. The retail chain said that sales at stores open for a least a year fell by 12% during May. Overall sales, including stores opened within the past year, grew by 18% to $6.7 million. Pacific Sunwear blamed slow sales on two common complaints in the retail industry: Bad weather around the country and overall weakness in apparel sales.
