‘Bad Behaviour’

While BBC veteran Les Blair’s 1993 film lacks the bite of similar Mike Leigh films (“Life Is Sweet” and “Naked”), it shares with them an ability to put strongly drawn and alive folks on the screen. Beautifully acted by Stephen Rea and Sinead Cusack (pictured), Gerry and Ellie McAllister are an amusingly realistic married-with-two-children couple. Irish born and bred and now living in the north London borough of Kentish Town, they are to varying degrees burnt out and frustrated with the patterns their lives have settled into. Don’t expect “Bad Behaviour” to offer tidy resolutions. If you accept its limitations, you will be pleasantly entertained for its 103-minute duration (Cinemax early Wednesday at 2:45 a.m.).
