DSG Co-Founder Named Koo Koo Roo Vice Chairman

Donna S. Guido has been appointed vice chairman of Koo Koo Roo Inc., a Los Angeles-based restaurant chain. Guido will be responsible for marketing, strategic planning, human resources, training and investor relations. Guido is a co-founder and served as president of DSG Associates Inc., which was purchased earlier this year by Archon Capital, Los Angeles. Santa Ana-based DSG is a communications, customer service and consulting firm.

* Bank of America announced the promotion of Christine N. Garvey, who heads the bank’s corporate real estate division, to group executive vice president. Garvey manages the San Francisco bank’s 3,300 properties worldwide.

* Richard A. Plante has joined Encad Inc. as president and chief operating officer, succeeding David A. Purcell, who will continue to serve as chairman and chief executive of the San Diego-based company. Plante joins Encad from CalComp, where he was vice president of product development. Encad designs, develops, manufactures and markets wide-format, color ink jet printers.

* Brown & Caldwell, a Pleasant Hill, Calif.-based environmental engineering and consulting firm, announced the appointment of Craig A. Goehring as chairman and chief executive. Goehring, 41, succeeds Craig A. Fisher, who resigned to pursue other business opportunities. Fisher, 47, has been chairman and CEO since 1991. Previously, Goehring was an executive vice president of the firm.
