Irvine Clothier Wet Seal Names 2 Vice Presidents

* Cecelia Gasgonia has been appointed vice president of merchandise planning for the Wet Seal Inc., an Irvine women’s apparel retailer. She had served as director of merchandise planning since joining the company in February, 1994. Gasgonia was previously with Clothestime for seven years, most recently as director of merchandise planning.

Also, Ron Shaban was named vice president of management information systems at Wet Seal. He was previously director of management information systems. Shaban has 30 years’ experience in the retail industry, including three years with G+G Shops, a division of Petrie Stores, as director of management information systems and 11 years with Ormond Shops Inc. as director of management information systems.

* Phillip McGee has been named general accounting manager for Earle M. Jorgensen Co., a Brea metals distributor. McGee, who has been with the company for a year, previously held a senior accountant position focusing on fixed assets and capital accounting. Eric Sand has been appointed assistant controller. He was formerly corporate controller for the Zero Corp., and was with Arthur Andersen & Co.’s audit division in Los Angeles for more than eight years. Also, William Tang has joined the company as accounts payable manager. He was most recently manager, accounts payable, at Dole Packaged Foods Co.
