3 Barred From Securities Industry in Kemper Settlements: The Securities and Exchange Commission barred three former Kemper Corp. officials from the securities industry under a series of settlements. Kemper, based in Long Grove, Ill., or its affiliates entered into three agreements with the SEC that resolve administrative proceedings launched earlier by the agency. None of the people or companies involved in the proceedings admitted or denied guilt in agreeing to settle the cases. “We are pleased to have these matters behind us so we can fully devote management time and resources to other matters affecting the organization,” a Kemper spokesman said.
