O.C. Film Commission Chooses Director of Marketing

* Debora Hausdorfer has been named to the newly created position of director of marketing for the Orange County Film Commission, a division of the Orange County Economic Development Consortium. She will work on a marketing campaign to encourage producers of movies, television shows and commercials to use Orange County sites. Hausdorfer was formerly vice president of communications for the Orange County Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Cristi Silverberg, who opened the commission’s office last year, has been named director of operations. She will work with cities to streamline the permit process and work with location managers on local issues and concerns.

* Stephen J. Muller has been named corporate controller for Akins, an Irvine residential real estate company. He was formerly a senior manager with the Irvine CPA firm of Saddington Cacciamata.

* Ralph Scott has been selected president of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, Orange County/Long Beach chapter for 1995-96. He succeeds Conrad D. Giedt. Scott is a managing partner with Scott, Bankhead & Co. in Newport Beach.

* Yoshihito Yamamoto has been appointed vice president of corporate planning and control for Silicon Systems, a Tustin semiconductor company. He was director of product engineering.

* William P. Conlin, Peter M. P. Norris and Louis H. Masotti have joined the board of directors of Facilities Management International, an Orange consulting firm. Conlin and Norris serve as co-vice chairmen. Conlin is the former president and chief executive of CalComp, a computer graphics company. Norris, a former executive at Hughes Aircraft and the Earth Observation Satellite Co., works at the Santa Barbara Research Center. Masotti is director of real estate management at UC Irvine’s Graduate School of Management.

* Melissa Alden-Shobe has been named director of sales and marketing for Corporate Video and Film, a multimedia company in Newport Beach. She was previously director of sales and marketing at the Four Seasons Hotel in Newport Beach.

* Thomas G. Tiernan has been appointed vice president of First American Trust Co. in Santa Ana. He had been a senior trust officer in the company’s Laguna Hills branch. In his new position, Tiernan will be responsible for business development. Before joining First American, he was vice president and senior account administrator at Northern Trust of California in Newport Beach.
