LOS ANGELES : Buttafuoco Charged With Soliciting Prostitution

Share

Joey Buttafuoco has been charged with offering to pay a female undercover officer $30 for oral sex.

The charge filed Thursday--which accuses Buttafuoco of soliciting an act of prostitution in Hollywood on May 24--is a misdemeanor that carries a maximum sentence of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine, said Mike Qualls, a spokesman for the Los Angeles city attorney’s office.

If convicted on the solicitation charge, Buttafuoco, 39, could face additional jail time for breaking his probation in Nassau County, N.Y. He was convicted there of the statutory rape of Amy Fisher, who is serving time for shooting Buttafuoco’s wife, Mary Jo, on May 19, 1992.
