WALK ON: First there was the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Then there was the Western Walk of Fame in Newhall. Now there’s . . . Alleywalk. Coinciding with the opening of a new play about the Holocaust, Actor’s Alley Repertory Theatre in North Hollywood will dedicate a spot in the cement outside its doors Monday to remember Holocaust victim Anne Frank.

AND ON: . . . Theater officials say the event will be the first in a series of commemorations honoring individuals for their perseverance in the face of challenging situations. But don’t expect to see plaques in cement just yet. Said a theater spokeswoman: “The city hasn’t approved the permits yet.”

HOME ON THE RANGE: The Antelope Valley was named after the thousands of pronghorn antelopes that once roamed freely in north Los Angeles County. The pronghorn, pictured above, is smaller than a deer, graceful and characteristically curious . . . but don’t try to outrun one. The pronghorn run at speeds of 45 m.p.h., making them the fastest animals in North America. Valley Briefing looks at the life and times of the pronghorn. (B2)

WHERE THE TEEN-AGERS PLAY: . . . You won’t find any antelope roaming around, but at one park in Palmdale, teen-agers and preteens are having fun playing on a playground set made specifically for older kids. (B6)
