Toddler Escapes Serious Injury in 2-Story Fall
A Northridge toddler fell out of a second-story window Sunday morning but escaped without serious injury, authorities said.
Eighteen-month-old Lalo Morales was in good condition Sunday night at Childrens Hospital in Los Angeles with bumps and bruises to his head, hospital spokesman Tim Bradley said.
The child was apparently jumping on a bed near an open window in the 8300 block of Lindley Avenue when he bounced out the window, landing in a parking lot below, police and firefighters said.
Police said the fall--reported about 9:50 a.m. Sunday--appeared to be an accident, adding that the chance of criminal charges being filed against the child’s parents was remote.
