U.S. Workers Report High Anxiety: Almost a third of Americans surveyed in a new poll said they’re worried about losing their jobs in the next six months, and almost half said workplace stress interferes with their ability to concentrate. Still, the survey of 1,026 American workers by the Gallup Organization and Marlin Co. found that 95% of respondents said they were loyal to their employers, even as 31% reported fearing job loss and 46% said they experience a high degree of stress. Regarding work ethics, 92% said the typical employee is committed to producing a quality product or service, and 90% go home from work with a feeling of pride and accomplishment in their jobs. The survey has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.
