Small Device Explodes at Seattle Courthouse
Associated Press
SEATTLE —
A small explosive device went off by the front door of the federal courthouse, but no injuries or damage were reported.
The device that exploded Sunday evening apparently was a soda or beer can filled with black powder and a fuse, said Don Wood, a court security officer with the U.S. Marshals Service.
The building was locked and only security personnel were inside when the explosion occurred at 9:15 p.m., Wood said.
Authorities had no warning of the explosion, he said.
