Ice Skating-Roller Hockey Complex to Open Next Year

Share

Orange County’s largest ice skating and in-line roller hockey arena complex will open next summer at Portola Parkway and Lake Forest Drive in Foothill Ranch, project developers said Wednesday.

Glacial Garden Inc. and Muller Co. will build the $7-million, 75,000-square-foot complex on a 5.7-acre parcel near the Foothill Ranch Towne Centre and Marketplace, a 1.3-million-square-foot retail center. The skating complex will include a pair of regulation-size National Hockey League rinks and an in-line roller hockey arena.

The new rink is being built by the company that operates Glacial Garden Ice Arena in Anaheim, which served as the official practice facility for the Anaheim Mighty Ducks during the team’s first two years. Glacial Garden also is building rinks in Lakewood and Riverside. The company also operates youth and adult skating programs. Muller Co. is an Irvine-based real estate development firm.
