Jewelry Store Bandits Grab $900 Diamond
NEWPORT BEACH —
Robbers escaped from a Newport Beach jewelry store with a loose diamond worth $900, police said.
The robbery occurred at Westcliff Jewelers on Westcliff Drive at 2:57 p.m. Wednesday, Lt. Doug Fletcher said.
Police said four suspects--three men and a woman--are believed to have been involved in the robbery. Two of the men, one armed, entered the store and asked to see some diamonds, Lt. Jim Carson said.
“They were showing them some diamonds and they made a grab and that was it,” Carson said.
