Honda Recalls Motorcycles: Torrance-based American Honda Motor Co. Inc. announced a voluntary recall of all 1988-93 GL1500 and 1991-93 ST1100 motorcycles to replace a faulty bank angle sensor. The sensor is designed to shut off the engine and fuel pump in the event the motorcycle overturns or falls down. A faulty sensor may possibly cause the engine to shut off while riding over bumpy surfaces or when making abrupt turns. Owners of the affected models will be contacted by American Honda to have their motorcycle repaired free of charge at an authorized Honda dealership. To date, there has been one accident reported to American Honda. About 50,000 GL1500 and 4,500 ST1100 motorcycles are affected by the recall.
