Morgan Stanley Earnings Up 42%: Strengthened by higher revenue from businesses ranging from investment banking to bond trading, the Wall Street investment bank said it earned $166 million, or $1.90 per share, in the three months ended May 31. That was up from a profit of $117 million, or $1.27 per share, in the three months ended April 30, 1994. The different comparison periods reflect a recent change in Morgan Stanley’s fiscal year-end, to Nov. 30 from Jan. 31.
