Hollywood Sweats: Film executives will be watching box office numbers published this week following the release of some of the biggest films of the summer. Friday saw the release of Universal Pictures’ “Apollo 13” starring Tom Hanks, Walt Disney’s “Judge Dredd” with Sylvester Stallone, and Twentieth Century Fox’s “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” based on the hugely popular children’s show. Hollywood will also be watching closely to see if the new films will slow the momentum of Warner Bros.’ “Batman Forever,” and whether “Power Rangers” will hurt Disney’s animated feature film “Pocahontas” in its second weekend in wide release. Some analysts are disappointed by the $29.5 million “Pocahontas” grossed in its first major weekend.
