ROLLER HOCKEY : Reserves Stand Up for Bullfrogs; Blades Lose Overtime Shootout

Share

The Anaheim Bulldogs, getting help from their reserves, defeated the San Diego Barracudas, 10-6, Sunday night in a Roller Hockey International game at The Pond of Anaheim before an announced crowd of 10,872.

The Bullfrogs were without captain Victor Gervais, who served a league-imposed one-game suspension for an outburst in Friday night’s controversial 8-7 shootout loss at Oakland. Also missing were defenseman Daniel Shank and forward Darren Banks, who were suspended by Coach Grant Sonier for violating team rules.

Making matters worse, forward Jared Bednar fractured his right ankle against Oakland. He probably will be out for the season.
