The body of a man in his 20s was pulled from the reservoir at Littlerock Palmdale Dam on Friday afternoon by sheriff’s divers, authorities said.
Los Angeles County firefighters responded to a reported drowning shortly after noon, fire officials said, and after arriving at the scene requested aid from sheriff’s deputies.
Divers from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department emergency services detail located the man’s body floating in 15 feet of water about 20 feet from shore, sheriff’s officials said. They retrieved the body at about 1:15 p.m.
The man, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
