First Interstate Promotes Cindy Bill to Area Manager

First Interstate Bank has promoted senior vice president Cindy Bill to area manager. She will be responsible for the bank’s 88-branch Los Angeles area. Previously, Bill served as senior vice president and district manager for the 23-branch San Gabriel Valley district. Bill joined the Los Angeles-based bank in 1984.

Fred Port has been named managing director of the Southern California region of Korn/Ferry International. Port will be responsible for the firm’s offices in Century City, Downtown Los Angeles and Newport Beach. Before joining Korn/Ferry, Port was president of a family-owned group of private companies engaged in several businesses, including military base management, construction materials and power generation. Korn/Ferry is an executive search company headquartered in Los Angeles.

Christopher V. Walker has joined Trust Company of the West as managing director of the international division. Walker was a founding partner of the Los Angeles-based private merchant banking firm Leonard Green & Partners and also was a partner at Gibbons Green van Amerongen.

Henry Del Castillo has been appointed senior vice president and chief financial officer of Wherehouse Entertainment Inc. He succeeds Kathy J. Ford, who has joined AmericanTours International Inc. as chief financial officer. Before joining the Torrance-based home entertainment retailer, Del Castillo was the chief financial officer of Powerine Oil Co.
