Super-Jet Project on Hold: As expected, Boeing Co. and four European partners dropped plans to build a jet able to carry up to 800 passengers because too few airlines are interested in buying it. The companies said they would re-examine the feasibility of the “super jumbo jet” early next year. Joining Seattle-based Boeing in exploring the project were British Aerospace, Aerospatiale of France, CASA of Spain and Daimler-Benz Aerospace of Germany.
