Future Domain Corp.: The privately held Irvine company has been acquired by Adaptec Inc. of Milpitas in a $25-million cash transaction. Future Domain designs, makes and sells desktop input/output products. Adaptec, which had net income of $18.5 million, or 35 cents a share, in the second quarter ended Sept. 30, 1994, designs, manufactures and markets solutions to eliminate performance bottlenecks between microcomputers, networks and peripherals.
