From Times Wire Services

The husband of a woman who lost several fingers when a mail bomb exploded in her office was arrested and charged with the crime. “A number of things, both statements and physical evidence, pointed to [Stephan] Bullis as the source of the bomb,” Assistant U.S. Atty. John Bennett said. Police refused to speculate as to a motive. Bullis says he’s not guilty, lawyer Joseph Cheshire said. The explosion last Monday forced the evacuation of about 300 employees from the Raleigh headquarters of BTI, the long-distance telephone company where Bullis’ wife, Tracy, works.
