SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO : Neighborhood Watch Coordinator Available
The city now has a Neighborhood Watch coordinator available to speak at community meetings on how the program works.
Sheriff’s Lt. Paul Sullivan said the coordinator has taken over responsibilities previously handled by the Sheriff’s Department Crime Prevention Bureau before the unit was hit hard by layoffs in the wake of Orange County’s bankruptcy.
Soc Soccoman, the Neighborhood Watch coordinator, said that about a dozen programs are already in place throughout the city. Demand from residents and homeowner groups has been high, Soccoman said.
